Designed for Tai Kwun Contemporary Art Basel 2018 booth, Multi-Ply Stool took reference from the ‘construction-site’ aesthetic as a symbolic linkage to the currently under-construction TKC museum building in Central.

Composed of a few pieces of high-dense birch plywood panels and pine wood planks with sophisticatedly crafted joints in exposing the beauty of the cross-sections of the natural materials, the stools present themselves as a series of highly flexible tools, e.g. chair, bench, table, cabinet etc. accommodating the various usage demands during the event period.
