Amid the hustle and bustle of hyper dense and active metropolitan life of Hong Kong, our senses are constantly overloaded with stimulation and disturbance that most of us turn numb to our senses consciously or subconsciously. Park thus has become some of the most important instruments in the city that brings in a space and moment of relief and relaxation for the public to slow down, feel, sense and recharge.
“Sensory Garden: Flowers of Senses” is an alternative nature that hopes to simulate nature by distilling and dissecting our senses into four layers in order for us to feel and sense again. In a field of flower buds, each bud contains a “sensory seed”, and the proposed device targets to extract a particular aspect of senses to be received by our sensory organs.
