Greeted by the slowly moving light gradient of sunset magic colors, visitors are lured to explore the holding cells to experience the darkness and quietness.

Contrasting brightness beams through the stairs and gate through the opened trap door leading one to look up to the courtroom via the portal which used to be the passage of the accused.

Referencing the underlying spatial structure of the original courtroom in the 19th century, the space is defined into five main components: the public, jury, press, accused, and judges.

While respecting the original architectural fabric, e.g. dock cage, and wall moulding, the new insertions translate these into contemporary fashion with hints of heritage but adapted to fit the current.
