With dispersed venues, the main intention was to create different spatial identities under a wholistic theme across the multiple rooms by mobilising highly flexible and modular spatial device through similarity and difference in materiality, layout and adaptive reuse of existing or rental furniture inventory.

A powerful juxtaposition of figural layout in plan is implemented through distinguished placement of furnitures that define circulation patterns. Essentially each room has a simple and clear figures in plan yet the figure is slightly different in each room to create a different spatial reading and experience for walkthrough.

The materiality across the rooms & Tai Kwun Contemporary shall be mediated through careful usages of materials. The linkage along pathway between rooms that are separate is forged by the relationship between material choices of the different modular systems across rooms which are inspired by the site and building context. A dialogue between different materiality in rooms and site is established.
